Step into the quiet elegance of The Haviland,
and take your place within a story quietly unfolding.
Welcomed by Dorothy, the eldest daughter of
Esther Lowden,
you are invited into an intimate
Victorian tea experience where conversation,
ritual, and presence unfold around you,
with history gently woven into each moment.
Inspired by the grace and refinement of the
Victorian era, this immersive experience
invites you to slow down, connect,
and savor the beauty of tradition through tea,
storytelling, and atmosphere.
This is not a story to be read,
but one to be experienced.
Approximately two hours.
Recommended for guests aged 12 and above.
Between Past and Present
Become Part of the Story
Gathered around shared tables, guests are
welcomed with unlimited tea or coffee,
served alongside a traditional three tier cake stand filled with carefully prepared treats.
As storytelling unfolds through the house, conversation, atmosphere, and ritual become part of the experience itself.
When the telling comes to a close, the moment does not end.
You may linger, or follow Dorothy quietly through the house,
where its rooms continue to reveal their stories.
And when you leave,
something of it remains with you.
The Arrival
A quiet threshold, where the pace softens and the world begins to slow.
The Seating
Finding your place at a shared table, shaped by time and held in soft light.
The Pouring
Tea is poured, warmth settles, and the moment gently begins.
The Tale
The story of Esther, the house, and life in Prince Edward Island where Victorian tea rituals and their quiet etiquette are gently experienced.
The Echo
Conversation lingers, and something of the moment stays with you.
